This privacy notice explains how Milnertech Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit milnertech.co.uk or get in touch with us. We only collect data you choose to give us, or that is necessary to run the site:

  • Contact enquiries. When you use our contact form or message us, we collect your name, email address, business name (if provided) and the details of your enquiry.
  • Communications. If you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we keep a record of that correspondence.
  • Technical data. Basic server and hosting logs (such as IP address and browser type) may be processed by our hosting provider for security and reliability.

3. How and why we use your data (lawful bases)

  • To respond to your enquiry — lawful basis: our legitimate interests (to answer questions and discuss potential work), and steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract.
  • To provide our services — lawful basis: performance of a contract with you.
  • To keep the site secure and working — lawful basis: our legitimate interests in operating a safe, reliable website.
  • To meet legal obligations — for example, accounting and tax record-keeping — lawful basis: legal obligation.

We do not use your enquiry data for marketing without your consent, and we do not sell your personal data to anyone.

4. Cookies and analytics

This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. If we add privacy-friendly analytics in future, this notice will be updated and, where required, we will ask for your consent.

5. Who we share data with (processors)

We use trusted third parties to run the website and handle enquiries. These act as our processors and only handle your data on our instructions:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting and delivery.
  • Resend (email delivery) — used to deliver contact form submissions to us by email.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum) to protect your data.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of follow-up. Where we enter into a contract, we retain records for as long as required by law (for example, financial records are typically kept for 6 years). We then securely delete or anonymise data we no longer need.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • ask us to erase your data in certain circumstances;
  • restrict or object to our processing of your data;
  • data portability, where applicable; and
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can put things right. You also have the right to complain to the UK's supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk .
